A method of cladding a building with strips of an insulation material includes a dispensing apparatus having a frame and a cradle on the frame for supporting a roll of the insulation material. The apparatus is rolled along the roof through a series of spaced positions and at each position a length of the strip of insulation material sufficient to extend from the roof to the ground is dispensed from the cradle. With the dispensed strip suspended, it is attached to the building using conventional fastening techniques and cut at the apparatus
