Apparatus, and an associated method, for facilitating paging of an access terminal operable in a radio communication system. The access terminal detects a first page message that does not include an access sequence identifier. The access terminal responds to the first page message without waiting for detection of a second page message that includes an access sequence ID. The response to the first page message includes an access terminal retrieves from a shared pool of access sequence IDs stored at the access terminal.

Le terminal d'accès détecte un premier message de téléappel ne comportant pas d'identifiant de séquence d'accès. Le terminal d'accès répond au premier message de téléappel sans attendre la détection d'un second message de téléappel comportant un identifiant de séquence d'accès. La réponse au premier message de téléappel comporte l'extraction par un terminal d'accès, à partir d'un groupe partagé, d'identifiants de séquences d'accès mémorisés sur le terminal d'accès.
