Methods are provided for the treatment of hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections. A polynucleotide comprising an immunostimulatory sequence is administered to an individual who has been exposed to or infected by HBV and/or HCV. The polynucleotide is not administered with a HCV or HBV antigen. Administration of the polynucleotide results in amelioration of symptoms of HBV and/or HCV infection.
L'invention se rapporte à des procédés de traitement des infections par le virus de l'hépatite B (HBV) et de l'hépatite C (HCV). Un polynucléotide contenant une séquence immunomodulatrice est administrée à un individu qui a été infecté par le virus HBV et/ou HCV ou exposé à ces virus. Ledit polynucléotide n'est pas administré en association à un antigène de HCV ou de HBV. L'administration de ce polynucléotide entraîne une amélioration des symptômes de l'infection par le HBV et/ou le HCV.
