It is intended to prepare compositions which contain polysaccharides at a high concentration and yet remain in the state of a liquid having a low viscosity to thereby provide drugs, eyedrops, foods, cosmetics, toiletry products, etc. having a novel texture and/or function. A composition in the state of a liquid having a low viscosity can be obtained by heating polysaccharides (for example, agar) at a high concentration in a water-containing liquid and then cooling under applying a shear force. Thus, the above-described drugs can be provided. Compositions usable as aqueous drug bases, which never undergo gelation due to temperature changes during storage and can be easily applied without pouring down, can be provided. Moreover, eyedrops containing agar have an effect of improving the migration of a drug into the eye. Furthermore, eyedrops containing agar in the form of fine grains can maintain a low viscosity and, in its turn, dry well and impart a favorable feel in dropping.

La présente invention concerne la préparation de compositions qui contiennent des polysaccharides à concentration élevée et qui restent cependant à l'état de liquide présentant une faible viscosité pour ainsi obtenir des médicaments, des gouttes oculaires, des aliments, des cosmétiques, des produits de toilette, etc. présentant une nouvelle texture et/ou fonction. Une composition à l'état liquide présentant une faible viscosité peut être obtenue par chauffage de polysaccharides (par exemple, de l'agar) à concentration élevée dans un liquide contenant de l'eau, puis refroidissement par application d'un effort de cisaillement. Ainsi, on obtient les médicaments susmentionnés. L'invention concerne des compositions pouvant être utilisées comme des bases aqueuses de médicaments, lesquelles ne subissent jamais de gélification due à des changements de température lors du stockage et pouvant être facilement appliquées sans verser. De plus, des gouttes oculaires contenant de l'agar sous forme de grains fins peuvent conserver une faible viscosité et, à leur tour, bien sécher et conférer une sensation favorable lors de l'écoulement.
