A builders' fitting arrangement includes a plate adapted to be attached to at least two frame timbers. The plate has at least one bolt hole for receiving a bolt that is adapted to go through the bolt hole and into a first one of the frame timbers. A bolt fixes the plate to the one of the frame timbers through the bolt hole. At least one pin is fixed to the plate and projects from a plane of the plate, the pin being adapted to be inserted into a hole in a second one of the frame timbers, the second one of the frame timbers not receiving the bolt. The plate is rectangular and includes at least one nail hole for nailing the plate to one of the timbers. Another version of the builders' fitting arrangement uses a block adapted to be plugged into a first frame timber, the block having a first bolt hole therein extending along a axis of the block. The plate is adapted to be attached to the first frame timber as well as to a second frame timber, the plate having a second bolt hole therein for receiving a bolt that is adapted to go through the first and second bolt holes.
