17 ABSTRACT The discharging system discharges periodically and automatically a predetermined amount of an effluent stored in a container. It allows a periodic accumulation of effluent in a container and an automatic discharge thereof with only the use of the hydro-mechanical force of the system. It comprises a tube located in the container having a free end and an end pivotally connected to the outlet of the container. A tripping tank is rigidly attached to the free end of the tube and has a buoyancy, when empty, suitable for lifting the free end of the tube. As the level of effluent rises in the container, the tripping tank lifts the free end of the tube until a maximum level where the effluent flows over the upper edge of the tripping tank and fills a reservoir formed within the tripping tank itself, thereby making the tripping tank sinkable and discharging the effluent when the tube has fallen at the bottom of the container. The system is then automatically ready for another cycle.
