A drilling fluid delivery system for use in drilling boreholes with a drill bit, the system comprising: a primary flow circuit having a relatively high flow rate for transferring drilling fluid to and from the drill bit; a secondary flow circuit having a relatively low flow rate for transferring drilling fluid to and from the primary flow circuit; and a cuttings transfer system, such as a hydrocyclone or a rotating filter, between the primary and secondary flow circuits which, in use, receives fluid containing cuttings from the primary circuit, separates the fluid into a first stream that contains substantially no cuttings and a second stream containing cuttings, the first stream being returned to the primary flow circuit and the second stream being directed to the secondary flow circuit.
La présente invention concerne un système d'alimentation d'une boue de forage pour utilisation dans des trous de forage avec un foret, le système comprenant : un circuit d'écoulement principal ayant un débit relativement élevé pour transférer la boue de forage vers et depuis le foret ; un circuit d'écoulement auxiliaire ayant un débit relativement bas pour le transfert de la boue de forage vers et depuis le circuit d'écoulement principal ; et un système de transfert des débris, tel qu'un hydrocyclone ou un filtre rotatif, entre les circuits d'écoulement principal et auxiliaire qui, lors de l'utilisation, reçoit la boue contenant des débris du circuit principal, sépare la boue en un premier flux qui ne contient pratiquement pas de débris et un second flux qui contient des débris, le premier flux étant renvoyé au circuit d'écoulement principal et le second flux étant dirigé vers le circuit d'écoulement auxiliaire.
