Generally speaking, all golf car battery terminals built before approximately 1997, do not have the capability of automatically restarting the battery charger once the batteries are fully charged. The Battery Manager is designed for managing the storage and recharging of golf car batteries, while unattended, over extended periods of time. This is accomplished by restarting the battery charger at a predetermined state of discharge. It's use is not limited to just golf car batteries. It is not a lead-acid battery charger & it will not rejuvenate old or dead batteries. It is designed to extend good battery life. It is installed in the circuit between the charger and the battery bank, and RESTARTS the charger when the battery voltage drops to (in this case) 27 volts DC., before sulfating sets in. It is not a timer.
