ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A roll drive mechanism, for a bending-roll machine having co-operating upper and lower feed rolls for manufacturing helical seam pipes, is a single motor drive mechanism compris- ing a drive motor for rotationally driving the feed rolls, differential distributor gearing for transmitting drive from the motor to both rolls so as to rotate the rolls at substan- tially equal speeds of rotation, and planetary gearing ad- justable for correspondingly adjusting the speeds of rotation of the rolls.
