A food intake restriction device for forming a stoma opening in the stomach or esophagus of a patient comprises an elongated restriction member (2), forming means for forming the elongated restriction member into at least a substantially closed loop around the stomach or esophagus, said loop defining a restriction opening, and an adjustment means for adjusting the restriction member in said loop to change the size of the restriction opening. The device further comprises implantable hydraulic operation means (6, 8) provided for operating the adjustment means in a non-invasive manner, and an implantable reservoir (4) containing a predetermined amount of hydraulic fluid. The hydraulic operation means are adapted to operate the adjustment means by using the hydraulic fluid of the reservoir.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de restriction de nourriture, permettant de former une stomie dans l'estomac ou l'oesophage d'un patient, qui comprend un élément de restriction allongé (2), un moyen de formage pour former l'élément de restriction allongé de sorte qu'il se présente sous la forme d'au moins une boucle sensiblement fermée, autour de l'estomac ou de l'oesophage, ladite boucle définissant une ouverture de restriction, et un moyen d'ajustement pour ajuster l'élément de restriction dans ladite boucle et modifier la taille de l'ouverture de restriction. Le dispositif comporte également un moyen d'actionnement hydraulique implantable (6, 8) pour actionner le moyen d'ajustement de manière non invasive, et un réservoir implantable (4) contenant une quantité prédéterminée de fluide hydraulique. Le moyen d'actionnement hydraulique est conçu pour actionner le moyen d'ajustement, au moyen du fluide hydraulique du réservoir.
