A system for forming and packaging loose particulate material utilizing a compression tower (100) for initial deposit of the loose material therein with the bottom floor of said tower being presented by a belt (310) of a conveyor system (300). A ram within the tower compresses the loose material into a bulk form (1000) atop the conveyor belt (310). Subsequent to compression, the conveyor system (300) is vertically displaced so that the formed material bulk can be conveyed to a horizontally adjacent conveyor (550) for downstream conveyance to a packaging station (550) having upper (700) and lower (600) conveyor assemblies. The material bulk (1000) is then recompressed and conveyed to a space formed between the upper and lower assemblies. Sheets of packaging material (800a, 802a) spans portions of upper and lower conveyor assemblies such that the material bulk is directed through the sheet and enveloped thereby. Packaging material which envelopes the bulk material is cut and thermally sealed leaving the packaging sheets spanning the conveyor assemblies.
L'invention porte sur un système de mise en forme et d'emballage de matériaux particulaire en vrac comportant: une tour de compression (100) où l'on dépose le matériau en vrac, et dont le plancher inférieur reçoit la bande (310) d'un convoyeur (300), et un piston comprimant le matériau en vrac pour former un bloc (1000) placé sur la bande (310). Le système de convoyage se déplace alors verticalement pour permettre le transfert du bloc sur un convoyeur (550) horizontal voisin comportant une structure supérieure (700) et une structure inférieure (600). Le bloc (1000) est alors recomprimé puis convoyé dans un espace compris entre la structure supérieure et la structure inférieure. Des feuilles d'emballage (800a, 802a) recouvrent certaines parties de la structure inférieure et de la structure supérieure entre lesquelles le bloc est transféré sur les feuilles, et dans lesquelles il est enveloppé. Les feuilles enveloppant le bloc sont découpées et thermoscellées, tandis que d'autres feuilles viennent recouvrir les structures du convoyeur.
