A cutting tool which is used to cut through wall of a hollow plastic pipe includes an actual tube cutter in the form of a plurality of blades having forwardly facing cutting edges. The blades surround a pocket which receives and then discharges material cut from the pipe wall by the edges of the blades. The blades are held atop the tool by a support pillar with the cutting edges of the blades projecting forwardly of the pillar putting them in an advanced cutting position.
