2123231 9310012 PCTABS00022 In a plastic clip made of two interlocking pieces (1, 10) for closing sausage wrappers, bags or the like, at least one piece (1) is designed as an elongated frame with relatively high side webs (2) in relation to the wall thickness. In the side webs (2) are provided central recesses (4) into which the end of the wrapper gathered together into a plait can be laid. At least the other piece (1, 10), which encloses together with the first piece the wrapper end gathered together into a plait, is provided with a projection shaped as a rib (13) that projects into the inside (5) of the frame and extends parallel to the side webs. The rib (13) ondulates and at the same time exerts a pressure on the plait. A maximum elastic compliance of the clip, thus a maximum adaptability to slightly different plait thicknesses or pressures occurring in the enclosed inner space, is thus obtained, without affecting the resistance of the interlocking connection, and at the same time ensuring a high-quality, constant sealing. In a first embodiment, both clip pieces are identical; in a second embodiment the first piece encloses the plait with U-shaped cut-outs of its side walls which are closed by the second piece.
