The circular saw comprises a carrier disk and a plurality of saw teeth mounted horizontally on the faces of the disk at its outer edge at regular intervals around the carrier disk. Each tooth is shaped like a thin plate with at least two cutting points equidistant from the centre-line of the tooth. Each tooth is mounted and secured on the disk so that at least one cutting point protrudes beyond the circumference and so that it is unable rotate about its centre-line. The said circular saw has the advantage of allowing the position of one or more saw teeth to be adjusted easily if one of the cutting points breaks. To adjust the position of a saw tooth, the tooth is simply removed and rotated about its centre-line, so that another, undamaged, cutting point of the tooth protrudes beyond the circumference. The tooth is then secured and sawing can continue. As a result, damaged teeth on this saw, as it is fitted with adjustable, multiple-point teeth, can be replaced quickly and at reasonable cost.
La scie circulaire comprend un disque porteur et une pluralité de dents de scie se fixant à l'horizontal sur les faces du disque en bordure de sa périphérie externe et s'étendant à intervalle régulier autour du disque porteur. Chacune des dents a la forme d'une plaque mince pourvue d'au moins deux pointes tranchantes disposées à égale distance de l'axe central de la dent. Chacune des dents est fixée et bloquée sur le disque de façon à ce qu'au moins une pointe tranchante s'avance en saillie de la bordure périphérique et de façon à ce qu'il lui soit impossible de tourner autour de son axe central. Cette scie circulaire a l'avantage de permettre de modifier facilement la position d'une ou plusieurs dents de scie en cas de bris d'une des pointes tranchantes. La position des dents peut être modifiée par simple démontage et rotation de la dent de scie autour de son axe central, de manière à ce qu'une autre de ses pointes tranchantes non brisée se trouve en saillie de la bordure périphérique. La dent est ensuite rebloquée et à ce moment l'opération de sciage peut se poursuivre. Cette scie avec des dents multi-pointes ajustables permet donc un remplacement rapide de ses dents endommagées et cela, à un coût raisonnable.
