The higher .alpha.-olefin copolymers obtained in accordance with the present invention are copolymers derived from higher .alpha.-olefin and non-conjugated diene represented by the following general formula [I], and (a) the non-conjugated diene content thereof is from 0.01 to 30 mol%, and (b) the intrinsic viscosity [~], as measured in decaline at 135°C, of said copolymer is from 1.0 to 10.0 dl/g. Image ... [I] The invention also provides a process for preparing such higher .alpha.-olefin copolymers as illustrated above, and vulcanization products obtained from said copolymers. Furthermore, the invention provides vulcanizable compositions containing rubber comprising of the above-mentioned higher .alpha.-olefin copolymers and a specific diene rubber or a specific ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber.
Les copolymères d'alpha-oléfines à chaîne longue obtenus conformément à la présente invention sont des copolymères dérivés d'alpha-oléfines à chaîne longue et d'un diène non conjugué, représentés par la formule générale suivante : [I], et a) la teneur en diène non conjugué de ceux-ci est comprise entre 0,01 et 30 % en mole, et b) la viscosité intrinsèque [~] de ce copolymère, mesurée dans la décaline à 135 degrés C, est comprise entre 1,0 et 10,0 dl/g. Cette invention s'applique aussi à un procédé de préparation de copolymères d'alpha-oléfines à chaîne longue comme celui qui est illustré ci-dessus, et aux produits de vulcanisation obtenus à partir desdits copolymères. De plus, cette invention s'applique aux compositions vulcanisables contenant du caoutchouc comportant les copolymères d'alpha-oléfines à chaîne longue ci-dessus et un caoutchouc spécial de type diène ou un caoutchouc spécial de type éthylène/copolymère d'alpha-oléfine.
