The present invention is directed to a shaving system of the wet shave type comprising a blade member (20, 24) (one or more) and a structure (30) which supports or holds the blade member and which has an external skin engaging portion (34) in proximity to the blade member. The skin engaging portion (34) includes an improved shaving aid composite (42) which comprises a matrix of a water-insoluble polymer, an effective amount of a skin lubricating water-soluble polymer dispersed within the matrix, and a compatibilizer material that improves the compatibility of the water-soluble polymer with the water-insoluble polymer so as to reduce the domain size of the water-soluble polymer within the matrix. The improved shaving aid composite provides a greater and more sustained release of the water-soluble polymer during use while maintaining good mechanical integrity. The preferred shaving composite comprises about 15 to 40 % polystyrene, about 40 to 80 % polyethylene oxide, and about 0.5 to 15 % compatibilizer material such as polyethylene oxide-polypropylene oxide copolymer.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de rasage conçu pour un rasage à l'eau et comprenant une lame (20, 24) (une ou plusieurs) et une structure (30) supportant ou maintenant ladite lame et possédant une partie extérieure (34) en contact avec la peau située à proximité de la lame. La partie (34) en contact avec la peau comprend un matériau composite amélioré d'aide au rasage (42) qui est composé d'une matrice polymère insoluble dans l'eau, d'une quantité efficace d'un polymère de lubrification de la peau hydro-soluble et dispersé à l'intérieur de la matrice, ainsi que d'un matériau permettant d'améliorer la compatibilité du polymère hydro-soluble et du polymère insoluble dans l'eau, de façon à limiter l'extension du polymère hydro-soluble à l'intérieur de la matrice. Le matériau composite amélioré permet d'amplifier et de prolonger la libération du polymère hydro-soluble pendant l'utilisation, tout en préservant l'intégrité mécanique du dispositif. Le matériau composite préféré comprend 15 à 40 % de polystyrène, 40 à 80 % d'oxyde de polyéthylène et 0,5 à 15 % d'un matériau améliorant la compatibilité, tel qu'un copolymère d'oxyde de polyéthylène - oxyde de polypropylène.
