A pre-formed, sheet device comprising; (a) less than 10 % of a polysaccharide mixture consisting of; (i) a red seaweed polysaccharide; (ii) a mannose containing polysaccharide selected from a galactomannan, glucomannan, and derivatives or mixtures thereof and; (iii) a fermentation polysaccharide, or derivatives thereof; and (b) from about 30 % to about 99.5 % of water; wherein the device comprises less than 10 % total polysaccharide. The pre-formed, sheet devices of the invention are suitable for topical application and display desirable amounts of syneresis and/or improved mechanical properties such as strength or flexibility, as well as excellent moisturisation, hydration and cooling benefits. Further, the devices of the present invention are easy to handle, unobtrusive and conform to the contours of a target surface when applied.
L'invention concerne un dispositif en feuille préformé comprenant (a) moins de 10 % d'un mélange polysaccharidique contenant (i) un polysaccharide d'algue rouge, (ii) un mannose contenant un polysaccharide choisi parmi un galactomannane, un glucomannane et des dérivés ou des mélanges desdits composés, et (iii) un polysaccharide de fermentation ou des dérivés de ce composé, et (b) entre environ 30 % et environ 99,5 % d'eau, ce dispositif présentant une teneur totale en polysaccharide inférieure à 10 %. Outre leur excellent effet humidifiant, hydratant et rafraîchissant, les dispositifs en feuilles préformés de cette invention sont adaptés à une application topique et présentent des niveaux de synérèse satisfaisants et/ou des propriétés mécaniques améliorées, telles que résistance et souplesse. Par ailleurs, ces dispositifs sont faciles à utiliser, peu gênants et adaptables aux contours d'une surface cible lors de leur application.
