ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is disclosed a process comprising processing and/or cleaning fibers and opening them, with the composition then being formed. Thereafter, the material so prepared undergoes carding or is formed into a membrane with optional needle-shaping. In the needle-shaping, the fibers are intertwined by means of specific needles, while in the absence of needle-shaping, the membrane is carded or pneumatically condensed. The membrane obtained by such a process can be formed for specific uses into strips, or compacted parts having a certain flexibility by pressing, so forming parts with multiple forms or totally planar parts. For special uses of the membrane, thermoplastic fibers having a low melting point (between 100 and 160 degrees C) can be used, mixed in the composition, which will act as binder/structural agents in the thermoformation process of the material. Structural or higher-rigidity parts can be obtained with temperatures ranging from 170 and 200 degrees C and pressures between 1 to 20 kg/cm2. The resulting membranes can be used for the manufacture of soft parts which are smooth and flexible, by low-pressure thermoformation, so as to preserve the original softness and flexibility, and also to provide form thereto, or heat transmission, either by convection or a direct transfer, or inputting of hot air can be applied.
