-10- CIRCUIT TESTER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A circuit tester for connection to the household main supply includes a male connector and a female connector for receiving the plug of an appliance. A first indicator light is connected permanently across the live and neutral terminals to provide an indication of the presence of voltage. A switch in series with the live connector is biased to a condition directly communicating the current to the live socket. The switch can be manually depressed to momentarily bypass the current through a second path including a second indicator light to momentarily illuminate the light in the presence of current.
