Systems and methods for collecting cellular-rich concentrates of blood are disclosed. Blood from donor (78) is mixed with anticoagulant (90) and conveyed to a first separation device (12) for separating an anticoagulated cellular suspension from blood. The anticoagulated cellular suspension is conveyed to a second separation device (14) for removing leukocytes. Leukocyte-depleted cellular suspension is conveyed to a third separation device (16) for concentrating the leukocyte-depleted cellular suspension into a cellular-rich concentrate and a cellular-poor component and a portion of the cellular-poor component is returned to the donor (78). A controller (88) is used to control the process including monitoring the rate at which anticoagulant carried in the cellular-poor component is being infused with the returned cellular-poor component into the donor (78).
Sont décrits des systèmes et des procédés pour recueillir des concentrés sanguins riches en éléments cellulaires. Le sang d'un donneur (78) est mélangé avec un anticoagulant (90) et transmis à un premier dispositif de séparation (12) permettant de séparer du sang une suspension cellulaire anticoagulée. Cette dernière est acheminée jusqu'à un deuxième dispositif de séparation (14) permettant d'éliminer les leucocytes. La suspension cellulaire appauvrie en leucocytes est acheminée jusqu'à un troisième dispositif de séparation (16) permettant de la concentrer pour donner un concentré riche en éléments cellulaires et un constituant pauvre en éléments cellulaires, une partie de ce dernier étant restituée au donneur (78). Une unité de commande (88) sert à commander le processus et notamment à surveiller la vitesse d'injection, au donneur (78), de l'anticoagulant véhiculé dans le constituant appauvri en éléments cellulaires qui lui est restitué.
