MAPI 0101 PCA CLOSURE FOR VEHICLE TRIM ABSTRACT Described is a closure capable of opening by expansion of an occupant restraint cushion in a recessed area of an interior vehicle trim comprising a first molded layer comprised of a mixture of a polypropylene composition and a thermoplastic elastomer composition; a second layer integrally molded with and on one side of the first layer covering the recess for the restraint cushion and comprised of a mixture of a polypropylene and a thermoplastic elastomer. The first layer has a frangible reduced thickness area on the opposite side of the second layer which area breaks upon exit of the re- straint cushion within the closure. The second layer has a Shore A hardness and is softer than the first layer and is capable of bending upon exiting of the bag in a bending or compressing area near the frangible reduced thickness area of the first layer.

Il comprend une première couche moulée constituée d'un mélange d'une composition de prolypropylène et d'une composition d'élastomère thermoplastique ainsi qu'une deuxième couche moulée sur un côté de la première couche et intégrée à celle-ci, couvrant la cavité du coussin de retenue et constituée d'un mélange de polypropylène et d'un élastomère thermoplastique. La première couche comprend une partie frangible d'épaisseur réduite sur le côté opposé de la deuxième couche qui se brise à la sortie du coussin de retenue dans la fermeture. La deuxième couche a une dureté Shore A, est plus molle que la première couche et peut se plier à la sortie du sac dans une zone de pliage ou de compression près de la partie frangible d'épaisseur réduite de la première couche.
