Control system and apparatus for controlling current input to an electrical resistance element such as a seal wire (2). The system and apparatus of the present invention is a closed loop feedback modification to conventional systems, and takes advantage of the inherent expansion of the seal wire (2) as it is heated. The feedback mechanism monitors the length of the sealing wire, and adjusts the current applied to the wire, responsive to that monitored length. One end of an electric impulse element such as a seal wire (2) is fixed to the underside of a top jaw (20) with a wire tension block. The opposite moving or floating end of seal wire (2) is coupled to a seal wire pivot member (1) at wire terminal (10). A pivot member (1) is pivotally mounted on the top jaw (20) at pivot point (9) so that it moves in response to expansion and contration of the seal wire (2), depending upon the seal wire temperature. A detector actuator (3) in mounted to the seal wire pivot plate or block (1), and extends beyond the pivot member (1) towards detector (5).
L'invention concerne un système de commande et un appareil pour commander une entrée de courant menant à un élément de résistance électrique, notamment un fil à sceller (2). Le système et l'appareil de l'invention constituent une modification de rétroaction à boucle fermée par rapport à des systèmes classiques et exploite l'avantage de la dilatation inhérente du fil à sceller (2) lors de son chauffage. Le mécanisme de rétroaction surveille la longueur du fil à sceller et règle le courant appliqué à ce fil, en réaction à la longueur surveillée. Une extrémité de l'élément d'impulsions électriques, notamment un fil à sceller (2) est fixée du côté inférieur d'une mâchoire supérieure (20) d'un bloc de tension de fil. L'extrémité opposée du fil à sceller (2) mobile ou flottante est fixée à un élément de pivot de fil à sceller (1) au niveau de la borne de fil (10). Un élément de pivot (1) est monté pivotant sur la mâchoire supérieure (20) à un point de pivot (9) de sorte qu'il se déplace en réaction à la dilatation et à la contraction du fil à sceller (2), en fonction de la température du fil à sceller. Un actionneur de détecteur (3) est monté sur le bloc (1) ou sur une plaque pivotante du fil à sceller, et s'étend au-delà de l'élément de pivot (1) en direction du détecteur (5).
