A portable electronic device comprising a connector (42) for connection to a parent machine having a function of executing a program, a program memory (41a) stored with a program, control means (41) for controlling the execution of the program, and storage means not shown for storing therein the occurrence of an event, wherein the event stored in the storage means is transferred to a parent machine in response to a request made by the parent machine.
