PROCEDURE FOR BOVINE NUCLEAR TRANSFER Abstract An improvement in the process of bovine multiplication by nuclear transfer is based on activation of the recipient oocytes. Activation is achieved by administering a shock to the oocytes, such as a temperature, biological, chemical or electric shock. After culture of oocytes at room temperatures, the recipient oocytes seem more amenable to nuclear transfer and higher percentages of viable nuclear transfer embryos can be achieved than from similar unactivated cultures.
