An apparatus for checking mechanical component parts, such as tools in machine tools, uses optical devices for emitting and receiving a light beam, for example a laser beam, and sensors for detecting the interruption of such light beam. A protection device for at least one of the optical devices includes pneumatic conduits and a nozzle outputting an air stream from a plurality of holes located around the central conduit through which the light beam passes, so generating a tubular shield which embraces the light beam. The protection device further includes a shutter which can be displaced from a rest position, wherein the central conduit is closed and the inside of the protection device is pressurized, to a working position, wherein the nozzle delivers the air stream in the form of a tubular shield. Passing from the rest position to the working position, the shutter assumes an intermediate transit position in which an air blast is outputted through the central conduit for a short time interval. The shutter has cylindrical surfaces and slides inside a shell of the protection device, driven by plane antirotation surfaces, too.
La présente invention concerne un appareil pour contrôler des pièces à composants mécaniques, telles que des outils dans des machines-outils, qui utilise des dispositifs optiques pour émettre et recevoir un faisceau lumineux, par exemple un faisceau laser, et des capteurs pour détecter l'interruption de ce faisceau lumineux. Un dispositif de protection pour au moins un des dispositifs optiques comprend des conduits pneumatiques et une buse produisant un courant d'air à partir d'une pluralité de trous situés autour du conduit central à travers lequel passe le faisceau lumineux, générant ainsi un gainage tubulaire entourant le faisceau lumineux. Le dispositif de protection comprend en outre un volet obturateur qui peut être déplacé d'une position repos, dans laquelle le conduit central est fermé et l'intérieur du dispositif de protection est mis sous pression, à une position active, dans laquelle la buse délivre le courant d'air sous la forme d'un gainage tubulaire. Au passage de la position repos à la position travail, le volet obturateur prend une position de transition intermédiaire dans laquelle un courant d'air est produit à travers le conduit central pendant un bref intervalle de temps. Le volet obturateur possède également des surfaces cylindriques et des coulisseaux dans une coquille du dispositif de protection, entraînés par des surfaces antirotation plates.
