The present invention provides a polypeptide existing in common to proteins expressed from the glial cells missing (gcm) gene which is a fate determination gene of cells in animal central nervous system, which polypeptide has the amino acid sequence of Sequence ID No. 1 or a part thereof and a DNA sequence to which the proteins containing the polypeptide binds. These polypeptide and DNA sequence would contribute to the progress of clarification of the forming mechanism of the human nervous systems, and at the same time, opens up a new way to development of diagnostic and medical treatment methods of cerebral functional diseases and cerebral tumor.
La présente invention porte sur un polypeptide commun aux protéines exprimées par le gène carencé en cellules gliales (glial cells missing ou gcm), qui est un gène déterminant le devenir des cellules dans le système nerveux central des animaux, lequel polypeptide comporte une séquence d'acides aminés de type Séquence ID no 1 ou une partie de celle-ci et une séquence d'ADN à laquelle se lient les protéines contenant le polypeptide. Ce polypeptide et cette séquence d'ADN aideront à faire la lumière sur le mécanisme de formation du système nerveux humain et, du même coup, conduiront à une nouvelle manière de mettre au point des méthodes de diagnostic et de traitement médical des affections cérébrales fonctionnelles et des tumeurs cérébrales.
