A control system for operating and integrating automated applications in a small building environment. The control system includes a plurality of application controllers (14, 16, 18) that control the operation of various automated applications, such as HVAC, lighting, access control and security. The control system further includes a local control interface (12) that integrates and coordinates/controls operation of the various application controllers (14, 16, 18). The local control interface (12) is reprogrammed with profiles for each of the different types of application controllers (14, 16, 18) designed to operate with the system, but also is able to acquire new profiles from new or custom application controllers that are unknown to the local control interface at the time of installation. The profiles include control variable definitions for each of the control variables supported by the corresponding application controller. This information permits self- configuration of the application controllers. The control interface and application controllers communicate with explicit messages using explicit addressing. The structure of the explicit messages is preferably preprogrammed into the control interface and the application controllers.
L'invention concerne un système de commande destiné à la gestion et à l'intégration d'applications automatisées dans un environnement de petit édifice. Ce système de commande comprend une pluralité de contrôleurs d'applications permettant de commander le fonctionnement de plusieurs applications automatisées, telles que le chauffage, la ventilation et la climatisation (CVC), l'éclairage, le contrôle d'accès et la sécurité. Ce système de commande comprend également une interface de commande locale permettant d'intégrer et de coordonner/commander le fonctionnement des contrôleurs d'applications. L'interface de commande locale est préprogrammée avec des profils pour chacun des différents types de contrôleurs d'applications conçus pour fonctionner avec le système, mais permet également d'obtenir de nouveaux profils à partir de contrôleurs d'applications nouveaux ou personnalisés inconnus de l'interface de commande locale lors de l'installation. Ces profils comprennent des définitions de variables de commande pour chacune des variables de commande prise en charge par le contrôleur d'applications correspondant. Ces informations permettent une autoconfiguration des contrôleurs d'applications. L'interface de commande et les contrôleurs d'applications communiquent avec des messages explicites par adressage explicite. La structure des messages explicites est de préférence préprogrammée dans l'interface de commande et les contrôleurs d'applications.
