Signals (i s) carried inbound on an electricity distribution network (T3, T5, 13) are detected by extracting electrical current information (d1-d8) from a waveform of the electricity distribution network, and digitally filtering the electrical current information, thereby forming a digital waveform. To extract signal information contained in the electrical current information, a reference waveform is constructed from a portion of the digital waveform, and the signal information is detected by comparing portions of the digital waveform with corresponding portions of the reference waveform.

Pour détecter des signaux (i s) d'arrivée acheminés sur un réseau de distribution d'électricité (T3, T5, 13), des données sur le courant électrique (d1-d8) sont extraites d'une onde dudit réseau et filtrées numériquement, ce qui permet de former une onde numérique. Pour extraire l'information de signal contenue dans les données de courant électrique, une onde de référence est construite à partir d'une partie de l'onde numérique, et l'information de signal est détectée par comparaison de parties de l'onde numérique avec des parties correspondantes de l'onde de référence.
