The invention relates to novel antibodies capable of binding specifically to the human Insulin-like Growth Factor-I Receptor (IGF-IR), in particular monoclonal of murine origin, chimeric and humanized as well as the amino and nucleic acid sequences coding for said antibodies. The invention also concerns the use of said antibodies as medicine for prophylactic and/or therapeutic treatments of cancers as well as methods or kit for diagnosis of diseases related to overexpression of the IGF-IR receptor. The invention further concerns products and/or compositions containing such antibodies combined with anti-EGFR antibodies and/or compounds and/or anti-cancer agents or conjugates with toxins and their use for preventing and/or treating certain cancers.
La présente invention est relative à de nouveaux anticorps capables de se lier spécifiquement au recepteur humain du facteur de croissance I apparenté à l'insuline IGF-IR, notamment monoclonaux d'origine murine, chimérique et humanisés, ainsi que les séquences d'acide aminé et nucléiques codant pour ces anticorps. L'invention comprend également l'utilisation de ces anticorps à titre de médicament pour le traitement prophylactique et/ou thérapeutique de cancers ainsi que dans des procédés ou nécessaire de diagnostic de maladies liées à la surexpression du récepteur IGF-IR. L'invention comprend enfin des produits et/ou des compositions comprenant de tels anticorps en association avec des anticorps et/ou des compositions comprenant de tels anticorps en association avec des anticorps et/ou des composés ani-EGFR et/ou des agents anticancéreux ou conjugués avec des toxines et leur utilisation pour la prévention et/ou le traitment de certains cancers.
