A copolymer or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof is provided, which contains, as constitutional units, (a) one or more structural units of formula (I): wherein m is an integer of from 3 to 100, Alk represents alkylene, and R1 and R2 are the same or different and each represents hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl, and (b) one or more structural units of formula (II): wherein R3 represents hydroxyl, optionally substituted alkoxy, optionally substituted aryloxy, or a group represented by the formula -NR4R5, wherein R4 and R5 are the same or different and each represents hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl. There is further provided a pharmaceutical composition comprising said copolymer, a protein modifier comprising said copolymer, a complex of said copolymer with a protein, a method of preventing or treating diseases using said complex, use of said complex in the manufacture of a medicament for preventing or treating diseases and methods for the synthesis of said copolymers and said complexes.
L'invention concerne un copolymère ou un sel de celui-ci pharmacologiquement acceptable contenant comme unités constitutives: a) une ou plusieurs unités structurelles représentées par la formule (I) dans laquelle m est un nombre entier compris entre 3 et 100, Alk représente alkylène, et R<1> et R<2> sont identiques ou différents et représentent chacun hydrogène ou alkyle éventuellement substitué; et b) une ou plusieurs unités structurelles représentées par la formule (II) dans laquelle R<3 >représente hydroxyle, alcoxy éventuellement substitué, aryloxy éventuellement substitué ou un groupe représenté par la formule -NR<4>R<5>, dans laquelle R<4> et R<5> sont identiques ou différents et représentent chacun hydrogène ou alkyle éventuellement substitué. L'invention concerne également une composition pharmaceutique comprenant ledit copolymère, un modificateur de protéine comprenant le copolymère et un complexe formé du copolymère et d'une protéine. L'invention concerne enfin une méthode permettant de prévenir ou de traiter des maladies à l'aide du complexe, l'utilisation de ce complexe pour produire un médicament servant à prévenir ou à traiter des maladies et des procédés de synthèse desdits copolymères et complexes.
