The invention relates to new polymerization processes including diluents including hydrofluorocarbons and their use to produce novel polymers with new sequence distributions. In particular, the invention relates to copolymers of an isoolefin, preferably isobutylene, and an alkylstyrene, preferably methylstyrene, even more preferably para-methylstyrene, with new sequence distributions. The copolymer may optionally be halogenated.

La présente invention concerne de nouveaux procédés de polymérisation incluant des diluants dont notamment des hydrocarbures fluorés, et leur utilisation pour l'obtention de nouveaux polymères aux nouvelles distributions de séquences. L'invention concerne plus particulièrement les copolymères d'une isooléfine, de préférence l'isobutylène, et un alkylstyrène, de préférence le méthylstyrène, et plus préférablement encore le para-méthylstyrène, présentant de nouvelles distributions des séquences. Ce copolymère peut éventuellement être halogéné.
