A biopsy forceps instrument (10) is provided having a proximal actuation handle (12), a flexible multi-lumen tubular member (14), at least one control member (23) extending through a lumen(70), an irrigation means (24, 25), an aspiration means (26, 27), and a distal assembly (22). The proximal actuation handle (12) includes a shaft (30) and a spool (34) slidably mounted on the shaft (30). The actuation handle (12) is coupled to the proximal ends of both the flexible tubular member (14) and the control member (23). Lumens of the tubular member (14) form irrigation and aspiration conduits (72, 74). The distal assembly (22) includes a hollow jaw cup (88) coupled to the aspiration conduit (74), and a hollow movable jaw (90) coupled to the irrigation conduit (72). The movable jaw (90) is coupled to the control member (23), such that actuation of the actuation handle (12) moves the movable jaw (90) relative to the jaw cup (88). Moving the hollow jaw (90) into a closed position provides a substantially fluidtight coupling between the irrigation and aspiration conduits (72, 74).
La présente invention concerne une pince (10) à biopsie munie d'une poignée (12) d'actionnement proximale, d'un élément (14) tubulaire souple comprenant plusieurs lumières, d'au moins un élément (23) de commande s'étendant au travers d'une lumière (70), d'un moyen (24, 25) d'irrigation, d'un moyen (26, 27) d'aspiration et d'un ensemble (22) distal. La poignée (12) d'actionnement proximale comprend un arbre (30) et une bague (34) montée coulissante sur l'arbre (30). La poignée (12) d'actionnement est accouplée aux extrémités proximales de l'élément (14) tubulaire souple et de l'élément (23) de commande. Les lumières de l'élément (14) tubulaire forment des conduites (72, 74) d'irrigation et d'aspiration. L'ensemble (22) distal comprend une mâchoire (88) creuse fixe accouplée à la conduite (74) d'aspiration et une mâchoire (90) creuse mobile accouplée à la conduite (72) d'irrigation. La mâchoire (90) mobile est accouplée à l'élément (23) de commande, de manière qu'elle se déplace par rapport à la mâchoire (88) fixe lorsque la poignée (12) d'actionnement est actionnée. En plaçant les mâchoires (90) creuses en position fermée, on assure un accouplement sensiblement étanche entre les conduites (72, 74) d'irrigation et d'aspiration.
