A food preparation system comprising a container (70) having a prescribed quantity of foodstuff. The container includes an interior chamber expandable (82) by the addition of a liquid. The food preparation system further comprises a vessel (12) sized and configured to receive the container and a prescribed volume of liquid. A pump (22) is in fluid communication with the liquid and the container. The pump is operative to transfer the liquid from the vessel into the container such that as the foodstuff is mixed with the liquid, the interior of the container will expand into the vessel.

L'invention se rapporte à un système de préparation de produit alimentaire comportant un contenant (70) dans lequel est présent une quantité déterminée dudit produit alimentaire. Ledit contenant comprend une chambre interne (82) susceptible de se dilater lors de l'introduction d'un liquide. Ce système de préparation de produit alimentaire comporte une cuve (12) dimensionnée et conçue pour recevoir ledit contenant et un volume déterminée de liquide. Une pompe (22) est en communication fluidique avec le liquide et le contenant. Cette pompe sert à transférer le liquide de la cuve vers le contenant de sorte que, lorsque le produit alimentaire est mélangé au liquide, l'intérieur du contenant se dilate à l'intérieur de la cuve.
