TIRE TREAD WITH IMPROVED NOISE PROPERTIES Abstract of the Disclosure A tire tread which optimizes noise properties of a tire is provided. The tread has radiused leading and optionally radiused trailing lug edges. In a preferred embodiment the tire tread also has arcuate lateral grooves such that no two lugs are in alignment on a lateral groove. Also, the tread may be divided into at least two annular portions and the annular tread portions may be skewed such that no two lugs in the tread are in lateral alignment.
