The present invention is an apparatus designed to remove of dissolved gases from liquids. More specically the present invention has a medical application for removing unwanted dissolved gases from a patient's blood. The present invention removes the dissolved gases by isolating the patient's blood in a chamber and then forcing the chamber to expand. The process of forced expansion of the chamber allows the gas molecules dissolved in the blood to attain enough entropy to change to a gaseous state. One application is the present invention can be used by doctors to removed dissolved nitrogen from the blood of a patient afflicted with the bends. This maybe used with a hyperbaric chamber or on the present invention maybe used on it's own. The bends tend to accumulate in the spine, exterior fat and joints of scuba divers afflicted with the bends. The present invention has the advantage over a hyperbaric chamber, in that unlike the hyperbaric chamber, the present invention can be site specific.
