The stud retention device has a top end, a base defining a bottom end and two diametrically opposed longitudinal members defining a shank. The shank has a longitudinal passage in which a ribbed stud or externally threaded bolt is insertable. Staggered along the length of the shank are one or more ribs, each rib having a finger projecting inwardly. One or more flexible arms project from the base toward the top end, where the angle between each arm and the shank is 45 degrees. When a stud or bolt is inserted into the passage, arms and fingers engage in the recesses between the ribs of the stud or threads of the bolt, thereby imparting a retention force which prevents retraction of the stud or bolt from the passage. A range of stud diameters and lengths may be coupled with the stud retention device.
Dispositif de rétention d'un goujon comportant une extrémité supérieure, une base définissant une extrémité inférieure et deux éléments longitudinaux diamétriquement opposés créant une tige. Cette dernière comprend un passage longitudinal dans lequel peut s'insérer un goujon nervuré ou un boulon à filetage externe. Au moins une nervure est disposée de façon décalée le long de la tige, chaque nervure ayant un doigt se prolongeant vers l'intérieur. Au moins un bras souple part de la base et se dirige vers l'extrémité supérieure, où l'angle entre chaque bras et la tige est de 45 degrés. Lorsqu'un goujon ou un boulon est inséré dans le passage, les bras et les doigts s'introduisent dans les creux entre les nervures du goujon ou les filets du boulon, créant ainsi une force de rétention qui empêche quiconque de retirer le goujon ou le boulon du passage. Le dispositif de rétention d'un goujon se couple avec toute une gamme de diamètres et de longueurs de goujons.
