The invention relates to a device for adjusting the tension of the strings of a guitar having at least two strings, particularly an electric guitar or a bass, particularly an electric bass, in which each string of the guitar or bass is, with one end, wound on a turning peg (7) of an adjusting mechanism mounted on the neck of the guitar or of the bass. The adjusting mechanism contains a combination consisting of a worm shaft (16) and of a worm wheel (17) and, due to these, is provided with a self-locking. The aim of the invention is to improve the design of a device of the aforementioned type so that, without considerably altering the basic shape of the guitar or of the bass, this device can automatically adjust the tension of individual strings of the instrument reliably and precisely whereby ultimately enabling them to be tuned. To this end, a drive unit (11) for each adjusting mechanism is mounted on the neck of the guitar or of the bass. The drive unit is directly connected to the worm shaft (16) or to the worm wheel (17) of this adjusting mechanism in order to drive the worm shaft (16) or the worm wheel (17).
Dispositif d'ajustement de la tension des cordes d'une guitare possédant au moins deux cordes, en particulier une guitare électrique ou une basse, en particulier une basse électrique, chaque corde de la guitare ou de la basse étant enroulée, au niveau d'une extrémité, sur un rouleau (7) d'une mécanique d'ajustement fixé sur la tête de la guitare ou de la basse. La mécanique d'ajustement comporte une combinaison constituée d'un arbre de vis sans fin (16) et d'une roue tangente (17), ces deux éléments apportant un blocage automatique à la mécanique d'ajustement. L'objet de la présente invention est d'améliorer la configuration de ce dispositif de manière que sans modification considérable de la forme de base de la guitare ou de la basse, ce dispositif permette l'ajustement automatique de la tension des cordes individuelles de façon fiable et précise, lesdites cordes étant ainsi accordées. A cet effet, chaque mécanique d'ajustement située à la tête de la guitare ou de la basse est associée à une unité d'entraînement (11) qui est couplée directement avec l'arbre de vis sans fin (16) ou la roue tangente (17) de cette mécanique d'ajustement pour entraîner l'arbre de vis sans fin (16) ou la roue tangente (17).
