ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A copper distributed data interface (CDDI) connector for high-speed data and voice communication networks includes contacts arranged in two concentric circles. Each contact has a circular cross section of approximately the same size as the copper conductor to which it is attached. Finally, a generally circular shield is mounted on the connector surrounding the contacts.
