An inhaler for delivery of medicament from a canister (2) which is compressible to deliver a dose of medicament. The inhaler com- prises: a housing (1) for holding a canister (2); a canister engagement lever (10) engageable with a canister (2) held in the housing to compress the canister (2); a loading mechanism for loading a resilient loading ele- ment (7) which is arranged, when loaded, to bias the canister engagement lever (10) to compress the canister (2); and a triggering mechanism ar- ranged to hold the canister engagement lever (10) against compression of the canister (2) and triggerable to release the canister engagement lever (10). The linkage between the resilient loading element (7) and the can- ister engagement lever (10) is arranged to reduce the force applied by the canister engagement lever (10) to the triggering mechanism when held by the triggering mechanism.
On décrit un inhalateur qui distribue un médicament présent dans un contenant pouvant être comprimé pour distribuer une dose de médicament. L'inhalateur comprend : un boîtier (1) prévu pour supporter un contenant (2) ; un levier (10) pour le contenant qui peut se mettre en contact avec un contenant (2) retenu dans le boîtier pour comprimer le contenant (2) ; un mécanisme de charge prévu pour charger un élément (7) de charge faisant ressort qui est lui-même prévu, une fois chargé, pour solliciter le levier (10) afin qu'il comprime le contenant (2) ; et un mécanisme de déclenchement prévu pour retenir le levier (10) contre l'effet de la compression dudit contenant (2) et qui peut être déclenché pour libérer le levier (10). La liaison entre l'élément (7) de charge faisant ressort et le levier (10) est prévue pour réduire la force appliquée par le levier (10) sur le mécanisme de déclenchement lorsque ledit mécanisme de déclenchement retient ce dernier.
