A method is provided for preventing erectile dysfunction, particularly vasculogenic impotence, in a male individual. The method involves periodic administration of a vasoactive agent throughout a 24-hour period. The agent and dosage regimen are selected such that regularly increased blood flow to the penis is achieved, in turn preventing arterial occlusion and vascular deterioration of the muscular fibers of the vessels and collagen fibers of the cavernosal tissue.

Cette invention concerne un procédé de prévention de la dysérection, en particulier de l'impuissance d'étiologie vasculaire, chez un individu mâle. Ce procédé consiste en l'administration périodique d'un agent vasoactif tout au long d'une période de 24 heures. On choisit ledit agent ainsi que le schéma posologique de façon à accroître régulièrement le flux sanguin arrivant au pénis, ce qui permet en outre d'éviter les occlusions artérielles et la dégradation vasculaire des fibres musculaires des vaisseaux et des fibres de collagène des tissus caverneux.
