A sliding door drive assembly for a motor vehicle having a sliding door includes a transmission operatively connected to a motor for transmitting a rotating force to an output shaft. A cable drum is fixedly secured to the output shaft and rotates therewith. First and second cables are wound about the cable drum in opposite directions. The first cable extends from the cable drum forward along the sliding door. The second cable extends from the cable drum rearward along the sliding door. Support guides extend tangentially out from the cable drum to guide the first and second cables outwardly and away from the cable drum along a path minimizing frictional forces. Front and rear pulley assemblies are mounted to the motor vehicle and are operatively coupled to the first and second cables between the sliding door drive assembly and the sliding door for tensioning the first and second cables.
L'invention porte sur un ensemble de commande de porte coulissante pour un véhicule automobile. Ledit ensemble comprend une transmission reliée à un moteur pour transmettre une force de rotation à un arbre de sortie. Un tambour d'enroulement de câbles est fixé à demeure sur l'arbre de sortie et tourne avec ce dernier. Deux câbles sont enroulés sur le tambour dans des sens opposés. Le premier s'étend à partir du tambour vers l'avant le long de la porte coulissante, et le second s'étend à partir du tambour vers l'arrière le long de la porte coulissante. Des guides d'appui tangentiels au tambour guident les deux câbles sur leur trajectoire vers l'extérieur et en s'écartant du tambour pour réduire les forces de frottement. Des poulies avant et arrière montées sur le véhicule sont reliées aux premier et second câbles entre l'ensemble de commande et la porte coulissante, pour tendre les premier et second câbles.
