ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In an envelope used for mailing purposes, the process applies a precise amount of liquid adhesive onto one or more prescribed areas of the gummed flap or the body portion of a conventional paper envelope. The envelope flap is then closed which causes the adhesive spots to contact the body of the envelope securing the flap in the closed position. The envelope flap is easily reopened because of the limited bonding area between the flap and the envelope body. The envelope is resealed by ordinary means such as licking or by an application of water to moisten the original flap gum. 5 CLAIMS, 3 DRAWING FIGURES
