The invention relates to a reformer (10) for a fuel cell system, comprising an oxidation zone (12), to which fuel can be fed by means of a primary fuel supply unit (14) in order to be reacted with oxidants, and a mixing zone (18), which is situated downstream of the oxidation zone (12) and to which fuel can be fed by means of a secondary fuel supply unit (20) in order to be mixed with substances exiting the oxidation zone (12). The invention is characterised in that the primary and secondary fuel supply units (14, 20) have an identical construction. The invention also relates to a fuel cell system comprising a reformer (10) of this type.
