A method and system for selecting prospective candidates for a position of employment wherein there is provided a storage means (7) storing candidate information of the prospective candidates. Subscribing employers (9) or subscribing agents (10) may access the storage means (7) to find suitable candidates for the position. The storage means (7) is accessed via a communications network, such as the Internet (3). Authorisation must be obtained by the subscribing agent or employer from a candidate to view and access their complete candidate information, which may be a full curriculum vitae (C.V.), and upon such authorisation may be for a limited period of time.

Ledit système comporte un organe de stockage de données (7) conçu pour stocker des informations relatives aux candidats éventuels. Des employeurs abonnés (9) ou des agents abonnés (10) peuvent accéder audit organe de stockage de données (7) de façon à trouver les candidats convenant à un poste d'emploi précis. Ledit organe de stockage de données (7) est accessible par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau de communication tel que l'Internet (3). L'employeur ou l'agent abonné doit demander à un candidat l'autorisation de visualiser l'ensemble des informations le concernant, et notamment son curriculum vitae complet (C.V.), ladite autorisation pouvant n'être accordée que pour une durée limitée.
