Compositions of polyolefin, a polar group material and a hydrophilic modifier are provided. The polyolefin is preferably isotactic polypropylene. The polar group material is acrylic acid or maleic anhydride or an ethylene/alkyl acrylate copolymer. The hydrophilic modifier comprises a monoglyceride and a salt of a linear alkyl phosphate. The compositions provide highly wettable, spinnable fibers for diaper coverstock, personal hygiene pads, battery separators, filters and tea bag pouches.

L'invention concerne des compositions constituées de polyoléfine, d'un matériau à groupes polaires et d'un modificateur hydrophile. La polyoléfine est de préférence un polypropylène isotactique. Le matériau à groupes polaires est un acide acrylique, un anhydride maléique ou un polymère d'acrylate d'éthylène/alkyle. Le modificateur hydrophile comprend un monoglycéride et un sel d'un phosphate d'alkyle linéaire. Les compositions fournissent des fibres aptes à être filées et très facilement mouillables, convenant à la réalisation de couches, de serviettes hygiéniques, de séparateurs de batteries, de filtres et de poches pour sachets de thé.
