This invention provides a synthetic threaded vertebral implant (10, 80, 100) for treatment of spinal deformities. The implant can be formed of variety of materials including synthetic organic materials, composites, and ceramics. The threaded implant can restore and maintain a desired disc space height. In one embodiment, the threaded implant (10, 80, 100) has an elongate cylindrical body (12) with an external thread (26). Implant (10) terminates in a proximal end (16) and an opposite distal end (18). One or both of ends (16, 18) can include chamfer surfaces (20 and 22).
L'invention concerne un implant vertébral (10, 80, 100) synthétique fileté permettant de traiter des déformations de vertèbre. Cet implant peut être formé de différents matériaux, notamment des matériaux organiques synthétiques, des composites, et des céramiques. L'implant fileté peut restaurer et maintenir une hauteur d'espace de disque désirée. Selon un mode de réalisation, l'implant fileté (10, 80, 100) possède un corps cylindrique (12) allongé doté d'un filetage extérieur (26). Ledit implant (10) se termine par une extrémité proximale (16) et une extrémité distale (18) opposée. L'une ou les deux extrémités (16, 18) peuvent comprendre des surfaces chanfreinées (20, 22).
