The invention concerns the field of electromagnetic detecting systems operating in bistatic mode, in particular bistatic UHF/VHF radars. The inventive method consists in simultaneously exploiting several sources transmitting on separate frequency channels. The method consists in particular in: multichannel reception and separating the channels; analyzing the signals received channel by channel, said analyses being performed by correlating the received signals with copies of time- and frequency-shifted reference signals, the reference signals consisting of received signals received from the transmitting sources by direct transmission; channel-to-channel integration of the analyzed signals; a step of detection. The inventive method enables a signal whereof the bandwidth is equal to the band covered by the set of exploited channels to be used, thereby enhancing the contrast and the distance resolution of the system using said method compared to systems known in prior art.
L'invention se rapporte au domaine des systèmes de détection électromagnétiques fonctionnant en mode bistatique, en particulier aux radars bistatiques UHF/VHF. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste en l'exploitation simultanée des signaux émis par une ou plusieurs sources émettrices sur des canaux fréquentiels distincts. Le procédé comporte en particulier: - une étape de réception multicanaux et de séparation des canaux, - une étape d'analyse des signaux reçus canal par canal, cette analyse étant réalisée par corrélation des signaux reçus avec des copies des signaux de référence décalées temporellement et fréquentiellement, les signaux de références étant constitués par les signaux reçus provenant des sources émettrices par transmission directe, - une étape d'intégration de canal à canal des signaux analysés, - une étape de détection. Le procédé selon l'invention permet d'exploiter un signal dont la bande passante est égale à la bande couverte par l'ensemble des canaux exploités, ce qui améliore le contraste et la résolution distance du système mettant en oevre ce procédé par rapport aux systèmes connus de l'art antérieur.
