Planting tree seedlings, to the best of my knowledge, is mostly done manually. This invention will do four things by means of hydraulic cylinders, 1) provide a hole for the seedlings, 2) automatically plant tree seedlings, 3) tamper the seedlings after planting and, 4) provide nutrients to the newly planted seedlings. The seedlings are manually loaded into individual compartments. The compartments are conveyed over a chute and the tree seedlings fall down the chute and into a hole in the ground which has been made by a hydraulic cylinder. After the seedlings are in, other tampering cylinders will pack the plant securely in the ground. As the tampering cylinders leave two holes near the newly planted tree seedlings, this invention will also distribute nutrients to either one or both sides of the seedlings. All of these components are mounted on a heavy, steel base and is attached to crawler-type equipment. All functions are electronically synchronized.

Au meilleur de ma connaissance, le plantage de semis d'arbres est généralement effectué à la main. La présente invention propose l'utilisation de cylindres hydrauliques aux quatres fins suivantes : 1) pratiquer un trou pour la plantation du semis; 2) plantation du semis; 3) damage du sol après la plantation; 4) fourniture d'éléments nutritifs aux semis nouvellement plantés. Les semis sont chargés manuellement à l'intérieur de compartiments individuels. Les compartiments individuels sont acheminés vers une goulotte d'où ils tombent dans un trou pratiqué dans le sol par un cylindre hydraulique. Une fois le semis en place dans le trou, d'autres cylindres effectuent le damage du sol. Les cylindres de damage laissent deux trous à proximité immédiate du semis nouvellement planté; l'invention prévoit la distribution d'éléments nutritifs dans un ou dans les deux trous. Tous les éléments constitutifs de l'invention sont montés sur une base robuste en acier se prêtant au remorquage par un véhicule chenillé. Toutes les fonctions sont électroniquement synchronisées.
