The present invention relates to a method aiding in the assessment of squamous cell carcinoma (= SCC). It disclos-es the use of the protein serpin B13 as a marker of SCC. Furthermore, it relates to a method for assessing lung cancer in a tissue sample derived from a patient having non-small cell lung carcinoma (= NSCLC) and for differentiating SCC from adenocarcino-ma or large cell carcinoma of the lung.
La présente invention a pour objet un procédé favorisant l'évaluation d'un carcinome épidermoïde (= SCC). Elle concerne l'utilisation de la protéine serpine B13 en tant que marqueur du SCC. En outre, elle concerne un procédé d'évaluation du cancer du poumon dans un échantillon de tissu issu d'un patient souffrant d'un carcinome du poumon non à petites cellules (= NSCLC) et de différenciation du SCC de l'adénocarcinome ou du carcinome du poumon à grandes cellules.
