A process for preparing 1,2- and 1,3-dinitrate esters from polyols containing 1,2- or 1,3-diol fragments involves using an alkyl or aryl boronic acid to form a cyclic boronate ester derivative which is then reacted with dinitrogen pentoxide to directly generate the dinitrate ester. In the cyclic ester form the 1,2- or 1,3-hydroxyl groups are protected and other reactions may then be carried out on other parts of the molecule of which the fragment forms a part, leaving the dinitrate ester to be produced subsequently in the final step. High yields are obtained at both stages.
L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation de 1,2- et 1,3-dinitrate esters à partir de polyols contenant des fragments de 1,2- ou 1,3-diol. Le procédé consiste à utiliser un acide alkyle ou aryle boronique pour constituer un dérivé cyclique d'ester de boronate, lequel est ensuite mis en réaction avec un hémipentoxyde d'azote pour produire directement un dinitrate ester. Sous forme d'ester cyclique, les groupes 1,2- ou 1,3-hydroxyle sont protégés et d'autres réactions peuvent alors être réalisées sur d'autres parties de la molécule à laquelle appartient le fragment, le dinitrate ester devant être produit ultérieurement, en fin de processus. Des rendements élevés sont obtenus aux deux étapes.
